you are woman enough....

The medical specialty for you is.... OB/GYN

OB/GYN is the best of all specialties. As an OB/GYN, you have chosen one of the most noble fields in medicine. You will work longer hours than a surgeon, but without the high pay. But you will still do it because you have a passion for the field. And after you rush to the hospital at 3 in the morning for the third night in a row to deliver a baby, the parents will turn around and sue you if there were any unforeseeable complications, which is why your insurance rates are so ridiculously high. Come to think of it, OB/GYN?? What were you thinking?

am posting this coz...after being a medical stdnt for 3 yeArs n had gone thru a year of cliniCAL posting in PPUKM...i`ve gone thru 4 major postings...surgery..Obs & Gynae...Public health n internal medicine...if u were 2 ask me which posting i enjoy most..i wud definitely said O&G...

being in O & G posting...made me give d best of me...i feel like a real Dr whereby i need 2 do my oncall...follow rounds, present in a grand ward round in front of other HO,MO,Registras,Specialist n Consultant really give me a meaningful n stressful experience. yet, i`m thanking all d profs n lecturers in d gram team..for giving me da hard time during my posting...coz bcoz of d hard tyme..i work extra hard...

during O & G posting...i wake up early..i`ll b in d ward by 7am..dispense medicne 2 d patients, follow rounds, clerking, palpating, going to d labour room, clinics, cover bed esp during wednesday nite as grand ward round is on thursday...but i did enjoy all of it

d interesting part of course in d labour room...i still can remmeber clearly..my first time experience...observing a normal delivery...at first i feel a bit dizzy n feel like vomit out when i c too many blood n smell d lochia...but after a while....i`m amazed...my 1st experience conducting a delivery...was unforgettable..it was a myanmar`s mother...still remember dat time was around 4am in d morning...i actually myself helping a mother deliver her baby..d most precious moment is when i held d baby n show to his mother n ask her 'is this a baby girl or a boy?'...dgn rasa terharu...she cries with a smile n tell me 'its a boy...'n da moment i need to suture episiotomy...my hand was trembling...tremor...`im terrified at first..but wit da guide of d midwife....i succeed...n d whole 8 weeks in O&g posting.. i put in my mind...God wills i wanna be an obstetrician aka a gynae...i juz think...women shud b examine by a lady Dr...when it comes to delivery...in fact i thought it is a fardhu kifayah...insyaAllah..the journey is a long way 2 go...i noe there`s still many posting i need 2 go thru b4 deciding my future...but...it is not wrong...to have it in my mind by now....
